Pre-School Fees
15 hours funding per week is available for all children the term after their 3rd birthday or up to 30 hours if eligible. Eligible 2 year olds will also receive up to 15 hours funding per week. Funding is applied for through preschool and is paid directly to preschool each term. Please speak to Alison for information on how the funding is allocated throughout the week or to tailor your funding to your individual requirements.
Parents will only be charged for any sessions they wish to take in addition to the free entitlement. If a child does not attend preschool for at least 80% of their funded sessions, the parent/ carer may be required to pay Norland Fun Club for those unattended sessions if Calderdale Council choose to reclaim the funded money (as stated in their policies).
Parents will be billed for preschool fees each half term. Payment is required for any sessions your child would normally attend, even if they cannot make it for any reason. If fees are not paid on time, a £10 late payment fee will be added on to the next bill. If fees are still not paid, then you will be given 2 weeks notice to terminate your child’s place. Payment will be owed up to the termination date. Payment is not required for school holidays. 2 weeks notice is required for termination of paid places and a month for funded places. Payment may be made in replacement of notice. Payment is directly in to our bank account via internet banking, if you require any other method of payment please see Samantha Finan or Jodie Bedford our finance officer.
Recent price increase letter:
Due to a sharp increase in our operating and overhead costs, we currently find ourselves in a really tough position financially and we are sure you would agree, as a non-profit charitable organisation, we are not able to continue absorbing these increases. As you know from previous and ongoing fundraising efforts, we are always thinking of ways to raise money to contribute to the running costs and repairs/maintenance of preschool but, sadly, this remains a struggle. With the full support of the committee, we are left with no option but to implement a small increase in fees with effect from January 1st 2024. Preschool sessions will increase from £25 to £29.50 per day. All other costs will remain the same. This is not a decision we take lightly but it really is simply to ‘keep the lights on’. We thank you for your continued support and generosity with regards to fundraising and donations so far but please do get in touch with any questions to either our Manager or our Finance Officer
