What's on?

Welcome!

Welcome back everyone.

We hope you all had a fantastic Easter break!

We are excited to start our new monthly topics: Mathematics and Understanding the World. We have a fun filled term as we enjoy lots of role play games with our garden centre open unit, and we are excited to explore all about recycling as we celebrate Earth Day!

Throughout April we will be getting mathematical, and this doesn’t just mean counting to 10! We will be pouring and measuring water in the water tray as we create our own April Showers, we can play with the dinosaurs and use positional language as we put them under the mud, inside the cave or on top of the hill! We can even go on a 2D shape hunt around preschool, what interesting shapes can we find through the binoculars?

In March we will be exploring the area of learning: Understanding the World, we are also celebrating World Bee Day so of course we will be getting plenty of time in the great outdoors! We will be using the maps and globes to discover what beautiful sights we can see all around the world. To help incorporate this into our home corner role play area we would love to add photos of real families who live abroad, to chat about if and when we get to visit them and which vehicles we would use to get there! We will be using materials to sort into recycling bins then reuse as we create some wonderful junk model masterpieces.
