Welcome back everyone!
​We hope you have had a wonderful October break. We are excited to welcome you back as we start our topics; November- Literacy, and December- Expressive Arts and Design! We can’t wait to deep dive into these areas of learning and explore the festive season with some wonderful activities.​
During our first month back at preschool, our activities will be based around the area of learning: Literacy. We can’t wait to explore some wonderful authors this month, including Julia Donaldson and her classic stories such as The Gruffalo, Smartest Giant in Town, and Zog the Dragon! Let’s enjoy some circle time with our key workers as we gather in small groups and chat about some of our favourite books, how to story books make us feel? What do we think will happen next? Lets turn the page together and see! During our second week we will be exploring Anti-bullying week and World Kindness Day, we will be making kindness potions and seeing how we can be kind and caring to our friends. We will also be exploring our environment and community, and seeing what beautiful things Norland has to offer including the change of temperature, the colour of the leaves and spotting some Christmas lights.​​
​Throughout December we are delving into our next topic; Expressive Arts and Design, all whilst learning through play of course! December means only one thing... Christmas is round the corner! This of course means unlimited dancing, moving, singing, painting and making masterpieces to take home. This is the month of getting in the festive spirit and what better way than to let our creative side shine through! We can gather together to hear all about the nativity story and how people will visit church at this time to celebrate the birth of Jesus. We can dig out all the wonderful dressing up clothes to really help us get into character as we perform our favourite Christmas stories and songs!
